Ramnath Goenka: His ideas, his times
Ramnath Goenka is remembered for the bravery with which he fought autocracy in government. Those fights were legendary, no doubt. But the fighter in Goenka was not an overnight phenomenon. From the time he was 20, he began getting involved in Gandhian activities like Hindi Prachar Sabha. He was a committed nationalist before he thought of turning publisher. Here we carry three articles that throw light on the kind of ideas that propelled the young Goenka and the times in which his consolidation as a newspaper publisher took place.
