BELGAUM: An undertrial at Hindalga jail, facing dowry harassment case, died on the way to hospital due to cardiac arrest, here on Wednesday. Tukaram Vithoba Harale (65) of Aainapur was accused of harassing his daughter-in-law for dowry. A case has been registered at the Belgaum rural police station.
ILLICIT LIQUOR SEIZED: The Excise department recovered 327.60 litres of illicit liquor from Ranoji T Patil, who was allegedly transporting it in a mini truck on Gadhinglaj-Sankeshwar bypass recently. A case has been filed under the State Excise Act against Patil. |
